Last year Charity Navigator circulated in many cities press announcements based on their ratings of charities in those areas. The one for Seattle was picked up by one of our local dailies in a front-page (!) story. My curiosity was piqued. After some investigation, I circulated a short piece questioning the Charity Navigator announcement on many grounds. Those comments are still available online -- see http://www.tess.org/ON/0310_STATS.html. I sent a note with the link to the CN employee quoted in the piece, but have not heard anything from them.
