GivingMarket/GivingMarketBlogThe GivingMarket blog template could be built out to include the following:
...and then be cloned over and over. The central function, already pared down to a /WeblogDirectory might shrink further to simply a commonly shared blogroll of all GivingMarket offerings (blogs). Since the common blogroll should quickly outgrow the capacity of any one blog to display it in a sidebar, there would need to be some common center where new participants could be introduced to all. This center could be a blog as well, read by all participants, each of whom would maintain their own blogroll of GivingMarket projects, culled from those introduced in the central blog.
In this way, /ActiveCitizens would be invited to blog their own projects, issues and interests, to use the template questions as an introduction, to share a common blogroll, and scan a center blog that would alert all Market participants of new blogs and from which some would then choose to add to their share of the common GivingMarket blogroll. the central blog could be searchable for key words, and all participants could be oriented in bloglines and technorati so that they could read others and find out who is reading (and quoting) them. At this end of the structural continuum, Giving is all about relationship, linking, and paying attention as more powerful than paying a donation... though nothing here rules out having a paypal donation jar link on each and every blog.
