Julie (in Nevada) called Ted on 2Sept04 with Laure and Jessica on the line with her from Hawaii to introduce all around and invite to tomorrow's conference call. Ted asked Julie if she'd give them the address to this page and some confusion resulted.

Ted then emailed Julie this: I think I spaced out on the wiki paper conversation. I thought that was just one action front, but it was a central one to forming this new virtual team and thus it was intertwined with the logistics of the phone meeting tomorrow and bringing people in on the personal work side of things. I also thought that other action fronts could include the social venture bank thing, the public networking centers, the giving market, the pilot of whatever it is in Indy, the young explorers clubs, the youth streetwise newspaper, etc.

Julie responded: The phone meeting as I understand is to experience the Humanist process and that we could invite others as you described.

The paper pertains to Michael, Ted, Julie and now James writing a document that morphs our individual views to better express what a multidimensional space looks like in terms of structure. And, how that structure (be it formal or informal) is facilitated, governed and operated - including the topic of membership -- which may be more about registering friends and partners and other defined roles to participate in a web within webs of networking that align around common purpose and shared values for the "higher good" -- or what gives life to being human.

We set up the space to write this paper. I'm not glued to how we use the space. However, I thought an immediate action front would be something we could have an immediate shared experience with. And, since the Humanist approach is central to this paper we decided to hold a "team" meeting.

Ted's response: It sounds to me like we're saying the same thing, but your hesitancy to send Laure and Jessica to the page makes me think I'm still missing something. To me, the page and the calls and the paper are all part and parcel of what we're building. Sending them to the page to see what we're working on is one way to invite them. They can attend the call even if they want to work on other stuff. I see the page as linking to any action fronts that any of us are working on, including the paper as that one is immediate and is about how we grow this very space that we're working in, no? :-)
