Valerie Suggestions 1. Lose Valerie on top and say that Valerie, producer/director is available towards close 2. Where youth bring zest, passion, energy….move to top of letter

• Allow the idea of linking sharing of values with how youth will do the work
• What we’re doing has the potential to showcase and unify youth work with the values and attitudes of the Nobels…

3. Take the 4 P’s and reverse them, speak to fears (use one or two to evoke feelings about what/how Nobels and Youth move through fear) Disenfranchisement, oppression External, circumstantial Disassociation, Disrespect

Our youth are already overcoming these…

4. Drop the universal language; invite them to do something very small…

• Lose examples of Movements.
• Lose our agenda of creating International networks (keep notes of larger ideas for our work team)
• Keep “they show us how to “do” peacemaking and invite us to practice a skill “that we may already have”

6. Each participating group will receive a copy of … not “free”

7. Change 50-25-25% of fundraising (three funds - local, film, trust) to 50-50% (local/trust). Set up the trust and outline how trust will be used to pay for film, distribution of CD, development of discussion guide and on-line supports for youth, funds to conviene and structure the trust with youth participants and partners after the documentary is finished.)If we go forward, we set up trust with parameters and attorneys, with bylaws saying we reexamine governance structure…but initially we fund film, create distribution mechanism..and remaining funds to participants…

• Perhaps we research to see what is realistic fundraising expectations with youth…clear that they raise such and such and they get back this…

10. Possible youth outreach funding sources: Fetzer Foundation; Executive Director and Program Director (they would fund outreach Joan Boryshenko’s Healing of the Mind; Counselor read daughters story about balance)

11. Talk about non-for-profit structure 5013c then status of 509 (participants contributing to purpose of trust) Talk about J2P Fiscal Agents… Do you need a 501c3? Do you need another organization in the world? Or does J2P want to use Emerging Futures Foundation and set up a trust with them to accomplish this? …In local communities Social Venture Bank in this case a film (which would be a 501c3) Structured as a trust for you (you direct, manage and such)… You can always move a 509 to another group to manage or choose to become a 501c3 at that time. Emerging Futures is willing to act as a fiscal house for J2P. You do this with non-for-profits, assets go to another entity, transfer and support another group. Tides Foundation does this (Incubated project within structure)
