{"id":212,"date":"2004-07-26T13:17:33","date_gmt":"2004-07-26T20:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.smallchangenews.org\/wordpress\/?p=212"},"modified":"2004-07-26T13:17:33","modified_gmt":"2004-07-26T20:17:33","slug":"the-giving-conference-weblogs-old-and-new","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.michaelherman.com\/wordpress\/archives\/2004\/07\/26\/the-giving-conference-weblogs-old-and-new\/","title":{"rendered":"The Giving Conference &#8211; Weblogs Old and New"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--109086699375125858--><\/p>\n<p>As a result of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalchicago.net\/giving\">Giving Conference<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tedernst.com\/\">Ted Ernst<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/creativityconnects.blogspot.com\/\">Susan Kerr<\/a> have taken the blogger&#8217;s plunge.  <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkitecture.typepad.com\/\">Lenore Ealy<\/a> started blogging just before the conference.  A number of other conference participants were blogging veterans.  Among the latter, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chriscorrigan.com\/parkinglot\">Chris Corrigan<\/a> is doing a nice job of blogging <span style=\"font-style:italic;\">The Gift<\/span>, by Lewis Hyde.  <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps someday we&#8217;ll be free of email and we&#8217;ll all just bounce around the blogosphere, meeting and talking and working with friends &#8212; like a room full of colleagues at an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalchicago.net\/ost\">Open Space<\/a> conference &#8212; everything moving, everyone learning and contributing, and nobody really &#8220;in charge.&#8221;  In the meantime, it&#8217;s nice to have a little Giving Conference model of that world up and running, and captured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalchicago.net\/giving\/givingwiki.cgi?GivingMindedBlogs\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a result of the Giving Conference, Ted Ernst and Susan Kerr have taken the blogger&#8217;s plunge.
