I went to the orientation meeting for the new Chicago Conservation Corps volunteer leadership program last night. Very exciting stuff from a big city government — actively inviting individuals and offering direct and open support for community projects. <\/p>\n
Applications for the 4-week program are due May 15th, and attendance at the orientation — to understand the commitment — is required:<\/p>\n
