I went a bit nuts in the comments there today, agreeing with <a href=\"http:\/\/radicaltransitions.net\/?p=15\">Wasting Time Building Consensus<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>In short, almost always, I find consensus to be oppressive.  An arbitrary requirement that restricts individual action.  I much prefer &#8220;Finding Consensus&#8221; to &#8220;Building&#8221; it.  I prefer to find and focus on those things that we already agree on.  <\/p>\n<p>Those agreements, made clear just as they are &#8212; not necessarily made broader or deeper &#8212; can support immediate action, by anyone.  Over time, as we find agreements, take actions, make contributions, we&#8217;re bound to make more agreements.
