Along the way, I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelherman.com\/wordpress\/?s=four+practices&#038;submit=GO\">wrestled mightily<\/a> with what we called &#8220;The Four Practices,&#8221; trying to articulate what it was that we are really doing when we Open Space.  Eventually, I just gave up.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Raffi Aftandelian&#8217;s new e-book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.archive.org\/details\/LivingPeaceTheOpenSpaceOfOurLives\">Living Peace: The Open Space of Our Lives<\/a>, (and a request for the latest version of the Practices, which didn&#8217;t really exist) gave me a chance to refresh my thinking on these things.
