Joy at Work

Shifting gears here today, from mostly words to mostly what my Dad would call real work, mopping, cleaning and also some reception work. Grounded and grounding. There is a fair amount of vaccuuming, locally known as ‘hoovering,’ to be done here. This morning as I got started on it I imagined what it might be like if I were going to do this hoovering forever… and ever and ever. I relaxed and the work became a joy.

  1. Ah memories. As a chambermaid in London I did a great deal of hoovering myself. I was an expert cleaner bedmaker after my stint too. It was grounding work. We had a fun staff and the days were over by 1:00 so it wasn’t bad.

Give my regards to Paddington Station.

  2. Hey! Thanks for providing a glimpse into your new world… I have this great image in my mind of you doing some happy hoovering.

Life here continues to be full…starting a new workshop series in January… finally have a well…301ft…thought we might be creating a new passage to China for a while, but thankfully, we found water first [grin]…

Hope to connect more personally soon… in the meantime, much love and light to you both… k
