i posted this over in jill’s blog, but i like it so much that i wanted to put it here, too. a few more cell shots here in the PeaSoup Notebook.
I’ve got just three more days of working on the hospitality team, then i move into new role as kitchen yogi, aka cook’s assistant. that’s a steadier schedule that should allow more sleep in between meetings with people around london and working on scnn. I’m about halfway through my six-month tour of service here at jamyang.
I love the eclecticism! Ancient cell, hi-tech laptop (and network 😉 and is that a buddhist wall hanging?
I love these pictures, Michael. Monastic but sensory, and holding warmth and comfort in such a compact place. “Now I am home.”
Oh, nice photos! It’s fun to peek into your space–and so much color!
tibetan buddhist door covering. pretty standard stuff. dragons, eight auspicious symbols, kalachakra symbol in center. tashi delek in tibetan… means somehting on the order of “piles and piles of piles and piles of good things to you and yours and everyone. ” i don’t know what most of the symbols mean, cuz i’m not that sort of buddhist, the kind that know all the details… i did that with catholicism this lifetime… but i do love the colors!
warmth and color don’t take much space! had a good time with your joy post, dan. thanks.
